The Jeddah Hostel at Riyadh Hall

Alumni in Jeddah are funding a wing of Riyadh Hall at Aligarh Muslim University. Twenty-two rooms are funded; the chapter has committed to at least seventy, so the whole wing carries Jeddah's name.

    A wing in Aligarh

    Riyadh Hall is a hall of residence at Aligarh Muslim University. The Jeddah chapter set out to fund a wing of it, room by room, so that students in Aligarh would live in rooms given by alumni three thousand kilometres away.

    The 2014–2016 committee gave the first room in the chapter's name, and the Junior Wing gave the next. Members followed, one or two rooms at a time. The legacy site called it another milestone in the history of AMUOBA Jeddah, where alumni have proved the real sense of love and respect for their alma mater through generous contribution.

    Twenty-two rooms

    Funds for twenty-two rooms have been collected, given by twenty donors named in the register below.

    The chapter is committed to a minimum of seventy rooms, enough for an entire wing to be named the Jeddah Hostel, meeting the residential needs of girls and boys both.
